Dune imagines a world where environment is everything — where survival demands a different relationship between body, material and form. That logic is the starting point for MONO.
A single-piece footwear design reduced to its barest silhouette. Wedge-shaped, tone-on-tone black, stripped of everything that doesn't need to be there. The project asks what footwear looks like when ornament is removed entirely and only essential form remains — a question as relevant to industrial design and fashion as it is to science fiction.
MONO is another source feeding the Cattiva Explorer world: proof that alternate realities — whether cinematic, speculative, or material — are the most useful tools for seeing the familiar world differently.
